This time I didn’t move too much between two wwoofing spots, about 20 km. Mapua is a small town close to the coast, 30 min from Nelson.

NZ05 – Brightwater
After almost a month pruning and wrapping the vine in Blenheim, I left (hitch-hiking).
NZ04 – Blenheim
This time it’s a bit different, I’m staying at friend’s in Blenheim in the north-est of the South island. Middle-sized town (about 30,000 inhabitants), close from the sea and surounded by low mountains.
NZ03 – Second wwoofing
Drastic change, I switch from the deep countryside to a beach house. People here are also fairly different, more cultivated and above all atheists (the farmers were christians, tried to get me to the church and to convert me).

After three days spent in Christchurch (and a mean fight between drunk guys at the backpackers’), I’ve headed to Geraldine. No it’s not the name of an old New-Zealand’s hooker, it’s a town.

The city is very impressive since it was partly destroyed (downtown mainly) by two earthquakes.
